Principal's Welcome

Dear Panther Family,

My name is Kimberly Hickl and I am the Principal at Danbury Secondary Schools. I felt led to the field of education during my high school years and have never looked back. I am beginning my 17th year in education. I am a proud member of Texas A&M University Fightin' Class of 2004. I earned my Bachelor's in Education from Texas A&M and went on to earn my Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas. 

 

I could not be where I am today without the support of my husband, EJ, and our two boys, Slade (15) and Sawyer (3). They keep us busy with their extracurricular activities of select baseball and drag racing! If we're not at the ball field or at the race track, you will find us in the hay field or in the crawfish pond as farming is my husband's true passion. 

 

I believe as educators it is our responsibility to teach our students to be compassionate, to have grit and perseverance to chase their dreams. I am honored to have the opportunity to work daily alongside the staff of Danbury Middle School/High School to provide academic and extracurricular opportunities that motivate our students to relentlessly pursue their passions. 

 

I look forward to this year and am eager to celebrate the successes I know our Panther students will achieve!
