What is HOSA? HOSA is a global student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services and several federal and state agencies. HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience. HOSA actively promotes career opportunities in the health industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA’s goal is to encourage all health science instructors and students to affiliate and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.

 Why Join?
There are a host of reasons to join HOSA. Members enjoy benefits like eligibility for HOSA-specific scholarships, great networking opportunities, leadership development, and many volunteering opportunities to mention a few. Membership in a national organization such as HOSA is also advantageous for college admission. Interested yet?    

Blood Drives- HOSA members host 4 blood drives a year. We partner with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. Members organize, recruit donors and assist with the blood drives. Every Senior, even if they are not in HOSA, who donates blood 2x their senior year will recieve a Red Blood Cord at graduation.

Graduation Recognition:

HOSA graduation cords will be avaible to senior HOSA memebers in good standing who have accrucrd a minimun of 30 points per year over the course of their membership. Points may be earned by attending meetings, conferences, competition, community service, and fundraisers.
